Full payment is required to reserve a shelter or picnic site. A spot cannot be held without a payment. You may pay for your rental with cash, check (at least three weeks in advance), money order, or major credit card.
Sites are available in three time frames:
A $30 cleanup deposit must be submitted in a separate check, money order, or by credit card (no cash accepted). The deposit is required at least 30 days prior to the rental date for each rental site. The deposit is refundable provided your site has been cleaned, all trash has been removed, and there is no damage to the site after your rental.
Cancellations must be made at least 30 days prior to the event to receive a refund. In case of inclement weather, staff will assist in rescheduling the event for another available date, time, and site within the current rental season (October 31). Rescheduling must be done at least one day prior to your reservation date. You can do this by calling 434-799-5215.
Reservations include designated picnic site only. Reservation does not include parking lots, playgrounds, restrooms, and other park facilities, as such are open to the public. Parking lots may be congested when athletic and large park events are in progress. Large shelter fees include electricity.
