Out of School Programs
2017- 2018 Out of School Programs
Danville Parks and Recreation is committed to providing a safe, fun and affordable environment. Supporting your child with after school activities is an investment in their future. Let us continue to engage your child during the time school is out.
Our out of schools programs are open to children in Grades K- 7th. Each week your child will participate in a variety of activities; such as music, gardening, cooking, and wildlife education in a hands-on setting. Staff will provide an atmosphere that meets all childcare standards to ensure your child receives the best experience possible. Our site follows the National After School Association's Healthy Eating and Physical Activity Standards and also has SPARKplay, CPR and first aid certified staff.
The out of school programs operate daily and will provide an afternoon snack. We offer on-site after school care at Forest Hills Elementary School. Transportation after school is available from Gibson, Schoolfield, GLH Johnson, Park Avenue, and Woodberry Elementary schools; as well as Bonner and Westwood Middle schools to Coates Recreation Center.
