Therapeutic Recreation Camp

Stonewall Therapeutic Recreation Center offers summer camp for your child or adult with cognitive or physical impairments as well as high functioning Autism. Activities consist of fieldtrips, crafts, games, movies, swimming, skating, bowling, and many more fun and exciting recreational opportunities. 

All camps meet at Stonewall Therapeutic Recreation Center. A lunch and snack is provided by the USDA for school-aged children. Scholarships are available for those who qualify. Call (434) 799-5199.

  • Ages 5-12; July 2 to July 13 (No camp on July 4)
  • Ages 13-21; July 16 to July 27
  • Ages 22 and Up; July 30 to August 10

Stonewall Specialty Camps New to the camp lineup at Stonewall this summer will be a variety of specialty weeks for participants. Specialty camps are age specific. Check them out

  • Young Chefs Week; June 4-8; Meet your chef friends at Stonewall while you mix, poor and explore the kitchen. Learn to cook and develop skills in the kitchen. Ages 5-12. $27
  • Science Experiment Week; June 11 - 15; Use common household supplies to see science happen right before your eyes. Camp will include a trip to the Danville Science Center. Ages 13 and Up. $25
  • Adventure Wild Week; June 18-22; Investigate the world around you. Camp will include a trip to Conservators Center in Burlington, NC. Ages 13 and Up. $30
  • Unique Summer Crafting Week; June 25 - 29; Unlock your inner creativity by making cool and impressive crafts that you can use for years both indoors and out. Ages 13 and Up. $20
